Litter Fungi

Over the last few years and especially during the 2019 Coronavirus lockdown, I and many others have noticed the increase in litter being thoughtlessly discarded into our local areas of natural beauty. Mostly the litter consists of drink cans, cigarette packets and sweet wrappings but there have been some more bizarre findings. I purchased a litter picker whilst in lockdown and regularly collect at least a carrier bag full of other peoples rubbish within my own local woodland where I walk daily.

My project "Litter Fungi" uses photographs of fungi and litter integrated into an image that suggests that the litter will be absorbed into our flora and fauna, perhaps even replacing it to the point that all we will see in the future are brightly coloured objects of non biodegradable material in the form of a living natural object.
