Angela Thames: Printmaker & Artists' Books
I graduated from UCA Farnham in 2006 with a degree in Fine Art.
My current practise is as a printmaker and maker of artists books.
I usually make small work in small editions, sometimes just as a one off. My prints are a combination of linocuts, stencils, collagraphs and woodcuts and I print them in my studio on a relief press. They are usually inspired by walking in my local landscape or working in my garden.
As for my artists' books, I print and hand bind these using traditional or digital printing methods adding my own or appropriated text from poems, books or articles.
My books are varied in subject matter depending on the text I use. Some are held in private and public collections including Tate Britain, Oxford Brookes University and Bath Spa University libraries, in Italy and North America. I also teach book making and lino cutting workshops. Please go to my WORKSHOP page for further information. If you would like to arrange a workshop please go to my CONTACT page.
