My "Butterflies" have been produced mainly from Surrey and Hampshire Street Atlas's. By scanning an A4 page and removing all buildings and footpaths, the road structure has been kept to form the "butterfly", then colours are added, the image flipped on it's central spine to form a mirror image and hence a "butterfly" emerges. Each is unique to the place name.

As more housing, infrastructure and roads are built to accommodate our growing population, over time this "butterfly" will change, mimicking the process of metamorphosis or total destruction of a butterfly species due to our overdevelopment and loss of natural habitats.

Limited edition "Butterflies" are for sale supplied in a mount , printed on Somerset Enhanced paper using archival inks £80.00 each.
