The 7 shilling People

After reading The Adventures of a seven shilling piece by Ann Mary Hamilton, 1811, I produced this book. The original book is in two small volumes but within it mentions 142 different characters. I wanted to bring these characters to life. I gathered 142 images of celebrities, actors, authors and The Royal Family mostly from donated magazines from the hairdressers and assigned each character with a name from the book. These are placed in the order they appear in the original book along with a piece of text taken from the book. This was a mammoth task and technically very challenging, with the page edge cut out around the character.
