INTRODUCTION

Like many contemporary artists today you have to be all things to all men. Primarily I consider myself to be a landscape artist. But I try to produce a coherent body of work based on a theme or current interest.

I often take information from the landscape and use this to produce work. I am interested in how the human race has shaped, evolved and dominated the natural landscape. The changes we have made by building the world we desire, by the complete dominance of our habitat and the apparent disregard for other animals we share the planet with.

The majority of my work is based on evolution, from Darwin to current Street maps and the evidence that our activities leave on the flora, fauna, and landscape.

The work I produce uses various methods of production mainly digital and traditional methods of printmaking, sometimes in the form of artists books. But I also produce drawings and 3D work.

I like to use the medium that best suits the work and sometimes this can take time to achieve.

I have worked within local museums teaching adults and children on themed workshops and teach regularly various methods of art and printmaking.
